Jowapur 687.10 - Jowat Adhesives
Application
Jowapur® 687.10 is a stable and fibre-reinforced, thixotropic one-component adhesive curing with wood moisture or ambient humidity. Adhesive for bonding soft wood species, windows, doors, construction elements, water-resistant particleboard, foam and insulating materials made of concrete, cork and coated cork, tiles, stone and many other substrates. Bonded larch wood is to be protected against direct contact with water.
Characteristics / Directions for Use
Free of solvents and formaldehyde. Good adhesion to many substrates. Moisture-curing. High strength data. Meets the requirements according to EN 15425 in the following tests: EN 302-1 Adhesives for load-bearing timber structures – Determination of longitudinal tensile shear strength: glueline thickness: 0.1 mm, 0.5 mm, 1 mm, Storage sequence: A1 to A7 and storage at -40 °C. EN 302-2 Adhesives for load-bearing timber structures – Determination of resistance to delamination. Standard application of the adhesive is by application as bead from the cartridge, spread with spatula as required.
General bonding requirements
The properties (e.g. surface tension, plasticiser content…) and the conditioning of the substrates, as well as the processing conditions (e.g. ambient temperature, humidity…) will influence the processes of joining and bonding. Customer tests under consideration of everyday production conditions are therefore absolutely necessary to define stable process parameters and to ensure that the product is fit for purpose. For best bonding results, the materials to be bonded should be free of dust, oil, and grease, and be dry. Ideally, the minimum temperature should be at 18 °C. Avoid draught.
