BISON PU MAX 75g Bottle
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Liquid, water resistant, polyurethane-based wood adhesive reinforced with fibres. With long open time (1hour) and with limited filling capacity. Marine quality, complies with standard NEN-EN 204: D4.
FIELD OF APPLICATION
For waterproof (D4) (surface) bonding of practically all kinds of wood. Suitable for non-bearing wood constructions with various connections, such as finger joints, dovetails, mortise and tenon joints, dowels and tongue joints. Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, such as boat construction, facade panelling and sandwich boards. Also for less well-fitting connections (e.g. unplaned wood). Can be applied exclusively if one of both surfaces is porous (strongly absorbent). Not suitable for connections that are subject to a higher, permanent load/tension. For these connections, use Bison Wood Construction Adhesive 2K Expert.

PREPARATION
Working conditions: Use only when temperature of room, adhesive and materials to be bonded is not below +5°C. Wood humidity level should be between 10% and 18% (max 25%)
Safety: It is recommended to wear rubber or plastic protective gloves.
Conditions of materials: Parts to be bonded should be clean, free of dust and well-fitting. Roughen non-porous materials. Moisten side to which no adhesive is applied with a damp cloth.
Preliminary treatment: Surfaces should be clean, free of dust and grease and well-fitting. To ensure optimal strength of the bond, the gap should not be larger than 0,1mm. Degrease greasy woods with Thinner for Bison Kit or thinner.
Tools required: Fine-toothed glue spreader (1 mm) or brush, clamp or press.
APPLICATION
Coverage: 5-6m²/kg
Directions for use: Apply adhesive thinly and evenly to one side, using a fine-toothed glue spreader (1mm) or brush. Join parts with 30 minutes and press or clamp for at least 4 hours.
Pressure time (+20°C): 4 hours
Open time: 30 minutes
Stains/residue: Remove fresh stains immediately with acetone. Dried residue can only be removed mechanically.
Points of attention: Store in a well-closed packaging in a dry place at a temperature between +10°C and +20°C.
CURE TIMES
Handling time: Approx 2 hours
Dry/cure time: Approx 24 hours at 20°C
*Curing time may vary depending on the surface, product quantity used, humidity level and ambient temperature.

SHELF LIFE
At least 18 months after date of manufacture. Limited shelf life after opening. Store in a well-closed packaging in a dry place at a temperature between +10°C and +20°C.
