UF 7200 - Urea Formaldehyde (UF) Resin
Urea Formaldehyde UF Resin
E1 Panel Adhesive
UF 7200 is a resin with low formaldehyde emission for production of E1 panels with hardener and extender incorporated. It is a self-hardening urea formaldehyde adhesive offering a short setting time and exceptional bond strength when used either hot or cold. The product has a long pot life.
UF 7200 can be used hot or cold in the manufacture of furniture assembly, veneer laying, ply construction, hollow core panels for door production and other furntiure and woodworking applications.
UF 7200 is mixed by dissolving it in water and is normally used without the need for an extender. However, by adding upto 30% more powder, the pot life can be extended which will however increase press times. Should there be any bleedingof adhesives through the veneer we recommend the addition of 10.20% of our HydraCure D3 PVA adhesive. When bonding cheery wood, do not add the PVA adhesive.
UF 7200 must be spread in a uniform coat on one surface using a brush, spatula or glue spreader. Wood humidity must be between 8-12%. With humidity levels higher than 12% there will be a longer pressing time and possible glue defects. With less than 8% the wood is very absorbant and there is a danger of starved glue line.
Mixing
Mixing 2 parts UF 7200 to 1 part water by weight OR mix approx. 3 parts UF 7200 to one part water by volume. The mix the glue, avoid the use of copper, iron and brass containers. Wood, plastic and stainless steel containers are most suitable.
